Design and Construction Management
The principals at Sebastian Healthcare Realty have several years of healthcare facility construction management experience from both the general contractor side and the healthcare provider side. Experience includes renovations and complete build-outs of medical office suites, MRI and CT rooms, as well as AHCA regulated operating room additions at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center.
In our role as Agency Construction Manager, we can assist in the prequalification and selection of the right design and construction team and then manage the entire construction process from space planning to permitting to final walkthrough. We become an extension of the client and solely represent their interest, independent of the design professionals and general contractor.
Our construction management services include:
- Representing the client at project meetings
- Advising on potential project pitfalls and suggesting solutions
- Identifying roles and responsibilities for each member of the project team
- Assisting with building permits and other necessary approvals, authorizations, and sign-off’s
- Providing project updates
- Overseeing and monitoring construction progress to maintain the project schedule
- Monitoring the shop drawing review process
- Facilitating timely turnaround of shop drawings and submittals, by architects and vendors
- Overseeing selection, delivery, and installation of fixtures, furnishings and equipment
- Coordinating project close-out documentation, including as-builts, bonds and warrantees
