Florida Hospital Celebration Health is a 112-bed facility that serves the residents of Celebration as well as many surrounding areas. Annually, the hospital has over 10,000 inpatient admissions, 70,000 outpatient visits, 50,000 emergency room visits and delivers over 1,500 babies. It hosts a number of services including the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, Lifestyle Enhancement Center, Pain Center, the Global Robotics Institute as well as a 60,000 square-foot Fitness Centre & Spa.
It also hosts the Nicholson Center for Surgical Advancement which is planning to relocate into a new $35 million, 50,000sf free-standing facility adjacent to the hospital. The new center will feature a 500-seat conference center, a 25-station surgical skills simulation lab, a robotics wet lab, dry lab space for simulated medical and robotics training, two simulation operating rooms as well as general office space.
The hospital is currently completing a $90 million, 250,000sf multi-phase expansion project. Included in the project is a new five-story patient tower, 128 new patient beds, 24 additional emergency bays, 3 operating rooms, expansion of the imaging department as well as renovations to the lab and pharmacy.
